Caribbean Carnival is a living expression of history, identity, resilience, creativity, and community.The Junior Jump Up Company helps children and youth understand the meaning behind the music, movement, costumes, characters, and traditions that bring Carnival to life. Through engaging programs, workshops, and community experiences, we create opportunities for the next generation to learn about the culture, express themselves creatively, and recognize their place within its continuing story.Our work also supports the educators, artists, mas bands, Carnival organizers, and community partners who make these experiences possible.
Our age-tailored curricula combine historical context with hands-on creative expression to build cultural identity and leadership skills.
To ensure systemic support within school boards, we provide certified PA Day Educator Training Programs.
Behind every beautiful parade is intense operational coordination. We partner directly with mas bands and carnival organizers to relieve resource constraints.
